Thoughtful, Physician-Led Eating Disorder Care

The Conrad Clinic welcomes referrals from pediatricians, family physicians, therapists, dietitians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals caring for children and adolescents with eating disorders.

We provide comprehensive medical evaluation and ongoing outpatient management, with a focus on clear communication, collaboration, and supporting patients safely at home whenever possible.

When to Refer

Referral may be appropriate when there are concerns for an eating disorder or when a patient would benefit from more specialized medical oversight.

Common reasons for referral include:

  • Unexplained weight loss or failure to gain expected weight
  • Bradycardia, orthostasis, dizziness, or syncope
  • Restrictive eating patterns or avoidance of food groups
  • Binge eating or purging behaviors
  • Menstrual irregularities or delayed puberty
  • Concerns related to growth, nutrition, or bone health
  • Increasing family concern around eating behaviors

We are also available for:

  • Clarification of diagnosis
  • Guidance on medical stability and level of care
  • Ongoing outpatient medical monitoring

What We Provide

The Conrad Clinic offers physician-led care focused on the medical aspects of eating disorders, including:

  • Comprehensive initial medical evaluation
  • Assessment of cardiovascular stability and vital signs
  • In-office EKG and urinalysis
  • Review of labs already ordered
  • Monitoring of growth, puberty, and endocrine function
  • Evaluation of gastrointestinal and purging-related complications
  • Ongoing outpatient medical management

How to Refer

Option 1: Direct Provider Referral

Please contact the clinic with:

  • Patient name and age
  • Brief clinical summary
  • Relevant concerns
  • Your contact information

Option 2: Family-Initiated Referral

Families may contact the clinic directly. If helpful, you may encourage them to mention your referral so we can coordinate care.
